How can I replace the banner ?

Post by lovelysummer »

Oddfish,

Today I made a very simple flash banner and created a banner.html file. I would try to place it to my forum and replace the existing one.

How can I do it ?

Tks. :P

I would have to see what you are wanting to achieve.

If you want to add in a flash to the existing overall_header (as in a single flash file), then a simple code insert to your overall_header will do.

If you have a complete new header to contain the banner, then editing the overall_header to include the banner.html and removing some content of overall_header will also work.

again though, I would have to see what you have and what you want to do.

cheers,
oddfish.

Its seems that replacing the header involving different files. My idea is completely replace the header but keeping the stlye . For example, in prosilver to replace the blue bg header to my flash banner but keeping the width. In subsilver , maybe a bit easier I think.

Perhaps let me study the header component of the styles first. I then ask again here.

Tks. :)

After fews weeks trying , it seems I got it something now.

I have changed the headerbar logo into flash swf in Prosivler and Prosilver SE, using the original class of headerbar. It seems both are ok but I don't know why the Prosilver header image colour is not gradient.

Oddfish, please come and take a look and make a test for me, see if anything is strange ?

Tks

What you have done looks great lovelysummer. A job well done.

Apologies for not taking time to check up on this before now, as duty calls.
